The Island Tourism Festival (ITF) is one of the most awaited annual cultural event organized for the residents and tourists of Andaman and Nicobar Islands by the Directorate of IP&T. This festival was celebrated as Dweep Mahotsav in 1988 and since 1995, it has been organized as ITF. The main events are held at ITF ground, Port Blair and several programmes are also organized all over the Islands.

The various events at the ITF showcase traditional music, dance, art, local cuisine, and activities that highlight the island's charm. Apart from showcasing talent of locals, renowned Artists from Mainland India also come to the Islands to perform. Visitors get a chance to immerse themselves in the India's culture, enjoying performances, exhibitions, food fairs and various merchandise and games. Tourists particularly enjoy the performances of artists especially reputed music bands, singers, dancers, performers etc.

ABOUT THIS YEAR'S ARTISTS

    SPIC MACAY – Artistes include internationally acclaimed Folk and Classical artistes. SPIC MACAY is a nationwide movement which inspires youth through experiencing the mysticism embodied in the rich cultural tapestry of Indian Heritage. The Ministry of Culture, GoI had also collaborated with SPIC MACAY during Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programme.

    WE ARE ONE - We Are One is a dance troupe breaking barriers and flouting all stereotypes of dance and (dis)ability. Bringing to the forefront wheelchair-bound and hearing impaired dancers, artistes and choreographers, their performances have inspired dancers and children internationally.

    END OF SCENE - Indie Rock Band from New Delhi. It is a rock band known for its dynamic and captivating performances and has a growing fan base and a solid reputation for delivering high-energy, memorable shows. Being an up-and-coming troupe, this band will give ITF a breath of freshness.

    SHOHINI DUTTA'S - is an eminent choreographer. She is trained in Bharatnatyam, jazz, contemporary, classical ballet, salsa, street funk and contact improvisation. She has performed as a soloist in various pieces of the Danceworx Student Repertory Company repertoire, choreographed by Indian and International choreographers. She has performed extensively nationally and internationally.

    EZCC - has been popular for beautiful display of culture of Eastern India through enchanting performances. The EZCC has been able to infuse among people a conscious appreciation of the rich cultural heritage of its own zone as well as other parts of the country through its manifold programs of folk, tribal and classical music and dance, documentation and publication, workshops, as well as its exhibitions on arts and crafts.
